Introducing Guppy, the newest member of our household. She is a 4 month old pure Great Pyrenees. She was actually born in a goat pen because her mama was a goat herding dog. We are already so much in love with her. She is super sweet and tolerant of the kids. She has already endured enough abuse from Naomi that she would probably be justified to eat her, but she has only licked Naomi and wagged her tail. Tomorrow we will "formally" introduce her to the goats. The goats were in no mood tonight to deal with her, though she was eager to meet them. And she is so smart! Within just a few minutes she had already learned the command "sit" and has obeyed it ever since. We would have preferred to change her name, but she answers to it so well that we hate to start all over.

Those are such pretty dogs. Get a small saddle and your younger kids can pretend you've got a horse, too, in a few months. You'll have to introduce her to my sister's horse -- I mean, dog. My sister got a lab/great Dane mix, so my niece will have her own horse, too.
She is soooo cute! And I like the name.
